The Oak Tree Counselling Service is an established professional counselling service based on the Association of Christian Counselling (ACC) guidelines and the British Association of Counselling (BACP) ethical framework for good practice.

What can we offer?

We provide a sensitive and confidential counselling service in keeping with current legislature, ACC and BACP guidelines.

Our trained counsellors offer individual or relationship counselling for people who are experiencing emotional, psychological or spiritual difficulties.

How can we help?

The Oak Tree Counselling Service offers short and long term support for a wide range of difficulties including:

  • Self Esteem

  • Stress

  • Anger

  • Depression

  • Loss & Bereavement

  • Emotional or Spiritual Crisis

  • Work related issues (Redundancy, Bullying or Racism etc)

  • Abuse (emotional, physical or sexual)

  • Relationship dificulties (Couples or families)

  • Domestic violence

How much does it cost?

The Oak Tree Counselling Service is run by trained and experienced volunteers who provide a high quality professional service. To cover ongoing costs and to ensure that the service is available to everyone, the charge per session is based on your income. There is a minimal charge for people who are on income support.

What happens when you contact us?

You will be offered an initial assessment interview with a trained counsellor where you will have the opportunity to explain your difficulties.

Should you accept an offer of counselling with the Oak Tree Counselling Service you will be assigned a counsellor as soon as there is availability.
